The forecast for Tuesday is for hot and sunny, without a hint of rain. It's hard to imagine a bigger contrast from last week!

i'm coming! hoping to arrive 5:30ish (or at least before 6)
I myself will shoot for getting there 5 or 5:30. Sunset is around 7:30, so the earlier the better . . .
We had a pretty good run at Big Enchilada; about six of us total. Routes start at 5.7 out here (and precious few of them), plus basalt's awful slippery stuff, so coupled with the two months off I wasn't doing so well. Setting's gorgeous though: top of a canyon above the Rio Grande.
Miss everyone in Boston.
Only two of us showed up, but we set up ropes on three climbs at the left end of the crag, on which we each got multiple attempts before it got too dark. (As we left, the two guys who showed up later and set up on the right were still climbing -- by headlamp. And we thought we were hard core.) We could have climbed more if I had not had to drive all the way home and back in order to fetch my shoes and harness. Phooey.
The weather was pleasant, and the bugs were not much in evidence, thanks to Wes's 100% DEET. Nothing nearly so scenic as the Rio Grande, alas.
