2 June (WED) -- Quincy Quarries

OK, now it's really going to be QQ on Wednesday. The weather looks like it's going to be sunny, high around 80, with light winds. But it's still pretty far out of the way for me, and a busy week besides, so I don't think I'll be able to make it.

Oops; guess who thought Memorial Day was this Monday. We usually climb on Wednesday after three-day weekends, and after Memorial Day in particular we usually go to the Quincy Quarries, but I goofed and would have sent us to QQ a week early.

So I swapped the next two weeks' venues, and put them on the customary days. As a result, we are going to Stage Fort Park on the usual Tuesday this week, and next week is QQ on Wednesday. Sorry for the confusion.

At least the weather should be decent. The forecast is for sunny and mid-80's, just the sort of day you want to spend climbing near the beach. The only other thing I could ask for is a little sea breeze to keep the bugs away (the wind will actually be from the west), but I'll settle for sunny and dry.

The forecast is looking good for Tuesday: Sunny and high 60's. The only note of concern is that there is a 50% chance of rain starting late, but as long as that weather doesn't get blown in any faster, it shouldn't be a problem.

The weather for tomorrow is supposed to be more of the same: cool and sunny, though less windy. That's not as nice as I would expect of mid-May, but at least it looks like this Tuesday is going to be better for climbing than the last one was.

4 May -- Waitts Mountain Park

The forecast says partly sunny, mid-70's, and (most importantly) dry! Keep your fingers crossed that it stays that way.
